• Starting the Game
  • Select the red and white play button in the center of the game’s welcome screen to start the game.
    • When you first start to play it shows you how to jump or slide in an overlay, and points the button you must click in the upper right corner to start play.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your all time high score.
  • The welcome screen has a full screen mode button in the upper left, a more games button along the left center, and a settings button in the upper right corner.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • You automatically run to the right.
    • Press the up arrow key to jump.
      • The game does not have a double jump feature, but the jump gives you plenty of clearance for most obstacles.
    • Press the down arrow key to slide.
      • The sliding state is not perpetual, but it lasts long enough to get past obstacles before reverting to your normal running state.
    • You can quickly go from jumping to sliding & you can jump from a sliding state.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • If the on screen controls do not show automatically you can click on the settings button in the upper right corner.
      • The slide button appears in the lower left.
      • The jump button appears in the lower right.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The upper left corner shows how many lives you have remaining.
    • Top center shows your current cumulative game score.
    • The upper right corner has a pause button. When the game is paused you can click the same area again to resume play, or use the following 3 buttons from the center screen menu: back to game welcome page, start playing a new game, and the settings button.
      • The settings button allows you to adjust the relative volume of game sounds & music. It also allows you to enable the on-screen jump and slide buttons for touch control.
• Game Play
  • Playing
    • The Easter Rabbit automatically runs to the right until you crash into something or fall off platform.
    • You only control if you are running, jumping, or sliding. While doing any of those your speed does not change.
  • Scoring
    • In this game you score points based on how far you travel.
    • Each star you collect is worth an additional 10 points.
    • On each play you get 3 total lives & your game score is cumulative across them.
  • Dying
    • You die if you run into any sharp object, run into or land on a brown block, run into any moving enemies, or fall off platform.
      • When you die you start at the beginning of the game, but keep the points you had from prior play within that same game. After dying 3 times it is game over.
    • Increasing difficulty
      • The game gets quite hard at around 70 points in as some of the ground platforms disappear right before you go to run on them (they have more of an olive color).
      • When you get to around 80 points platforms above you swing things at your head a second before you get to them.
      • When you get to around 90 points a rock wall behind you turns into a rock monster which starts throwing rocks at you, forcing you to have to pay attention to both what is in front of you and what is behind you.
        • The rock monster can throw rocks high or low & can change the order in which they are thrown to where you can get high then low, low then high, or high then high, meaning you have to react to the trajectory of each throw on the fly & not run into anything in front of you.
