  • Basic rules
    • Switch the position of the gems to group them according to color.
      • Move the selector around the stack to find gems you want to move.
      • Click or tap on the switch button or use the space bar to have the two gems inside the selector switch places.
      • The selector is horizontally oriented; you can only move the gems sideways.
      • You can also have gems switch places with an empty space.
        • If the gem moves to a space with nothing below it, it will fall down.
        • Any gem above the empty space will fall down.
    • The stack slowly rises from the bottom of the playing field.
      • If the stack reaches the top of the screen, the game ends.
      • The stack temporarily stops rising when you clear a row. This will be useful in keeping it under control.
      • Keep removing as many lines as you can before the stack reaches the top.
    • Form rows of 3 or more identically colored to clear them from the stack.
  • Scoring
    • You earn a number of points for every row you remove.
    • The more gems you clear per row, the more point you earn per move.
    • Your high score is updated in real time.

    • Edges
      • Items from the middle columns can be matched across, or moved into columns on either side.
      • Edge columns can only move in one direction, meaning the nature of the game is the end columns will end up higher than the middle columns.
      • Try to make plays on the edge columns whenever possible to help knock them down.
    • Dropping pieces
      • If some columns are far higher than neighboring columns you can swap pieces in such a way that you pull the piece from the high column with an empty space in the adjacent column. This moves the gem into the shorter column, to help make the column heights more level.
      • You can create a vertical match of gems from either direction where there was once a far lower column than the adjacent columns.
