• Starting the Game
  • At the center of the welcome screen, select the play button to begin.
  • On the bottom center of the welcome screen are the following controls:
    • Select the speaker button on top to turn the game’s sound effects on or off.
    • Select the music button at the bottom to turn the game’s music on or off.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your best score.
    • You can view your latest and best scores above the play button near the top center of the welcome screen.

• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • You begin with a 5 by 5 grid with number tiles on it.
    • Merge the identical number tiles to form a number tile that is greater in value by one.
      • Select one number tile, then select a space or tile that it has a clear path to.
      • Select the same tile twice to deselect it.
      • A tile can only move if it isn’t obstructed by other tiles.
    • Each time you merge a number tile, a new number tile emerges at random to replace it.
      • Only the first three number tiles are generated.
        • Numbers 4 through 12 must be created through merging.
      • Each time you move without merging, two new tiles appear in random parts of the grid.
        • We recommend moving a tile to an empty space only when you need to, e.g. when it is blocked or you run out of tiles to merge it with.
    • Keep merging the tiles until you form the 12 tile.
    • The game ends when you run out of space.
    • On the game over screen are the following controls:
      • Select the reset button to play again.
      • Select the hamburger button to quit and return to the welcome screen.

    • Your earn points based on what the number tiles you merge turn into. For instance, you receive three points from merging a pair of 2s as merging the pair results in a 3.
